Large Port Network Based On Pro / E Cad System

Large port machinses play an important role in the port tranportation system. These years, the industry faces a great opportunity because of the flourish of international trade. But belong this, there are also many challenges. The character of morden large port machine development process and the background of information age place higher requirements on port machine manufacturers' cooperation design ability.As a popular three-demention CAD software, Pro/ENGINEER is used in port machine industry wildly. But its use is still staying in a single-person-single-machine interact phase. This paper put forward an idea of constructing network CAD system based on Pro/ENGINEER, in this way to make a better cooperation design environment for large port machine development.In this paper the study goes mainly in these three angles as below:(1) Put forward the model of this network CAD system; and study it's architecture and function method;(2) Study key techniques needed to construct such a system. This mainly includes:(a) Network product data management;(b) Method to visually visit 3D models in internet environment;(c) Design conference;(3) Study how to transmit design purpose to members in top-down way in the internet environment.
