| With the development of economy and the polarization of social work, the need of remote monitoring and control is growing quickly. Especially in the field of the trans-regional monitoring and control, which brings the new development of RMCS and updates the technology in it. As the widest world-wide resource network, the Internet can meet the need of trans-regional monitoring and control and its low-cost TCP/IP protocol and relevant software establishment bring greate change for the RMCS. The RMCS based on Internet or Intranet comes into being.The GPRS/CDMA based on packet radio communication technology support IP protocol and have the ability to connect to the Internet. Once those technologies were applied in RMCS, which use both wired and wireless medium, the range of monitoring and control becomes wider and the flexibility is improved. A new type of RMCS based on the heterogenous communication medium come into being.The reliability and security are two import aspects of the RMCS. The RMCS can be divided into two parts,the remote control layer and local equipment layer, and they both have the security problems. This article is aim to research on the security and reliability problems of data transmission of the RMCS based on the the heterogenous communication medium.The security problems of the wireless communication technology and data transmission system is discussed in the article, and the reliability of the communication medium, communication services and communication protocols is also discussed here. And then the solutions of secure data transmission in the RMCS are discussed, for example the IPSec and SSL secure solution. Those secure solutions for data transmission have their own disadvantage, for example they are not adapt to the dynamic IP address assignment of the terminal equipment, and depend on the lower protocol, etc. So in this article we present a secure transmission channel solution in application layer for the RMCS based on the heterogenous communication medium.The aim of the secure transmission channel solution is to provide the secure data transmission service for the RMCS based on the heterogenous communication network. According to the function, the module is divided into 4 parts: communication service, session management service, encrypt/decrypt service and transmission management service. The communication service provides the heterogenous network transmission service for the other 3 parts, and gives the interface functions for invoking, based on which the other 3 parts can complete their each task. The session management service provides the session maintenance mechanism for the dynamic IP address assignment of the terminal equipment, and alse provides the session state management function according to the heterogenous network communication. The encrypt/decrypt service provides the crypto service for the others. The transmission service controls the crypto procedure during data transmission and provides a reliable data transmission mechanism which uses the simple stop-and-wait protocol.Finally we implement a secure transmission channel software, discuss the key techniques during the implementation and then analyse its security and the reliability during data transmission. |
