| This thesis is primarily focused on the design of broadband microstrip antennas. The main work are of designing aπaperture antenna element, then design an antenna array using the element;and a broadband circular polarization antenna is presented, on the basic of which, we discuss the effect of the different size of ground plane. Meanwhile, we extend the formula of mutual impedance between two antenna elements to a larger frequency band.This thesis firstly describes the design ofπaperture antenna element which is fed by side, and then design a broadband antenna array by using the element.A broadband circular polarization antenna is then presented. Besides, we discuss how the different size of ground plane affect the antenna's performance. The bandwidth of the mentioned antenna is above 50%,at the moment,we find that the radiation, gain, impedance bandwidth,AR of the antenna is infected by the different ground,furthermore,we bring some methods to improve the influence.Lastly, we study the formula of mutual impedance between two antenna elements in array, the 12 coefficient in the formula are drawn out in a larger frequency band. From the result, we find that the improved formula can more exactly describe the mutual coupling between two elements in the array. |
