In The ON Picture Book Design " Page - Turning Surprise "

Be surprised and pleased by turning over page " is a kind of special way to relate story under the book appearance by picture book. It can interact with reader and encourage interesting of reading book. The good design of "turning over page" can control the rhythm of whole book and influence reader's motion to rise and fall. In the meantime, it provides a passage to let out motion for the reader in the most decisive place so that the author can directly inform the idea to reader's mind. This text tries to lead the psychology related conclusion into the research. "Surprised" and "pleased" will be regarded as two emotion elements and analyzed the main factors which influence them respectively. On this foundation, I will combine the general request of the design of "surprised and pleased by turning over page" in the picture book, and comprehensive successful experience of picture book in all countries, and put forward a series of design method from three aspects :the story details, picture, book appearance. The writer considers if we adjudicate a picture book, we would take the above three kinds of elements into mind, and go into deeply research of the special story description language in picture book, including the "surprised and pleased by turning over page".
