Data warehousing technology is one kind of completely new scheme, which syncretizes the ETL technology and the OLAP technology. Data warehousing technology aims at providing integrated, consolidated and historical data for OLAP applications. The synthetic and flexible analysis requirements of decision makers can be well met by joint utilization of Data Warehouse technology and OLAP. The development of DW is the basis of the whole DW system.The contribution of this thesis is following as : when Parts of a practical system-Resident Management Information System designment are given. ID Card Management, Approvement Management, Query Module are modued with LJML and designed by modues brought forward.Some problems ecountered in system designment are analyzed and discussed and then above theories analyses are strengthened and improved. Some factors are considered and improved in the analyses and designment that are reuse, maintenance, expansibility, performance, efficiency, speed, opening, security, reliability and soon. Influences brought those factors are analyzed and discussed. Some errors often made by developer and designer are brought forward and resolvement ways are given.The population management system mentioned in this thesis has four features: First, setting up Network resident management system on three-level computer, which can share information and analyze regional population distribution. Second, adopting client/server computing mode, which can exchange statistics between computer file management system and server database, interconnect and share information. Third, providing the perfect function of information management, operating mode of Internet for client system, and the function of data query and dynamic maintenance of related data. Finally, improving system safety by user-privilege management method, online approval system, outlier detection, network traceback, data transmitting encryption , and categorized information sharing.
