| This dissertation researches on VCO with distributed parameter resonator tuning by BZN varactor. In order to advance the tunable capability of BZN and keep a higher Q property for resonator, the microstrip hairpin resonator is chose and analysed for its tunable capability. A new tunable configuration is showed and compared to series configuration, at last, the qualification of realizing the board band tuning for the two tunable configuration are present. On the basis, this dissertation finished the design of VCOs in X-band using hairpin tunable resonator, compared the characteristic of VCOs usingλ/2 transmisson line tunable resonator and parallel tunable SIR separately. Between the tunable band, the phase noise of VCO using parallel tunable SIR is -90dBc/Hz@100KHz, and -116.2dBc/Hz@1MHz. Some advices are proposed for the problem in VCO. |
