Electromagnetic scattering from composite structure has attracted much attention. Some novel electric field integral equations perform well in this propose. They are applied for composite structures involving closed and open metal surfaces, metal and dielectric bodies or coating conducted bodies. Also, the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) employing the curvilinear RWG functions as the basis and testing functions are applied to further speed up the efficiency. In this thesis, firstly, the basic integral equation methods for electromagnetic problems have been analyzed to comparing the advantages and disadvantages among them. We also introduce the numerical method for integral equation -moment method (MOM) and the fast solving technique. Then, a novel improved electric field integral equation (IEFIE) is presented to calculate electromagnetic scatteringSecondly, composite structure involving open and closed surfaces for electromagnetic problems are investigated. A new method which has been developed by some foreign researcher is implemented for this special structure to improve the efficiency. This method and IEFIE are employed to solve composite structures involving open and closed surfaces and to compare the efficiency between them. Thirdly, improved electric field integral equations (IEFIE) are implemented for composite bodies involving metal and dielectric. Two kinds of good initial guess are employed to realize this method. Both of them perform good efficiency and keep good accuracy. For the coating conducted problems, based on implementing a new surface integral equation, improved electric field integral equation is also employed to improve the efficiency. Finally, a normal electric field integral equation with certain solving method is implemented. This method accelerates the convergence of solving electromagnetic problems. All of the above numerical results are agree well with the accurate method results or business software results. The good efficiency and accuracy of these algorithms are of course validated. This work supports another efficient solution scheme for electromagnetic scattering of complex targets especially some large scale complex ones with some special structures.
