Analysis Of Newspaper Opinion Poll Reported In The Status Quo And Development

Poll report originated in the West. Poll report in China stemmed from the audience survey in the 1980s. Since the mid-1990s, along with the reformation, it has been developing fast as a new "news growth point. ""China Youth Daily" is one of the first media that tried to report opinion polls. In 1993, this newspaper established social investigation center, carrying on the polls specifically on the public concern of social hot issues. In 1995, the newspaper organized "Investigation Observation" column to publish the opinion poll reports. This column once became one of the most popular pages of this newspaper for continuous 3 years. Today, the operation of the poll report in the newspaper is fairly successful. It represents to a certain extent the correct direction of poll report of China media. Of course, there are still some problems about poll report in this newspaper as well as in other media.This article selects the opinion poll reports of "China Youth Daily" of the third quarter in 2006, and compares them with the reports of the same period in 2005. This article further analyzes the distinct characteristics, the style, the change trend and the existing questions of opinion poll report in this newspaper. Meanwhile, this article also tries to propose some not mature suggestions.
