Higher request to network has been brought forward with the increased significance of mobile communication,the research on network optimize has already become the problem to mobile communication provider gradually.The demand for communication grows rapidly with the improvement of people's standard of livingresulted from rapid development of China's economy in recent years. However,due to the former city planning,it becomes more difficult to laying pipes for communications construction.What's more,the collocation cost of optical fibers and cables increases.Meanwhile,the density of communication users is enlarging,the demand of individualized communications for different social strata is blooming,but it is not easy or too expensive to implement wired access because of topographic conditions and the limitation of some inhabiting regions.In order to settle the problems mentioned above,PHS (Personal Handy-phone System) emerges as the times require,which has become an important means for achieving mobile communications with low cost according to the development and application of late years in China.Accordingly,an introduction of technical features and application modes of PHS is given firstly,including the basic network structure,relevant technical features and the technical analysis of all the subsystems.After talking about some optimizing methods in GSM and CDMA wireless network, the author gives the solutions to optimize the PHS networks,including the network coverage optimization,,handover and interference problems and users' traffic optimization etc,These solutions are all connected closely with the Guangzhou' PHS networks,The author gives a complete and systematic research on PHS optimization and then brings forward the problems under solving in network optimization.
