| With the expansion and upgrade of the university campus network, the construction of the network infrastructure has been much enhanced: a network for the purpose of teaching, research and campus life with bandwidth of hundreds of MB per desktop, thousands of MB per building, and tens of thousands of MB per principle network has come true; a digitalized environment for communication and application has been basically formed with software development. The application in the areas of teaching assistance, job management, and entertainment based on the technology of network video, streaming media started to prosper. So it became urgent to build a Streaming Media Platform in a campus network. This thesis takes the FDSMP system as an example, disdusses the Key technologies and methods of Streaming Media Platforms in a campus network.In a campus network, for guaranting large flow of the stability and efficient transmission, it's necessary to build a Streaming Media Platform which has a uniform and facilitate simple management system. Currently Streaming Media Platforms which are based on Internet Protocol, have been widely used. Making full use of streaming media interactive real-time, it is extending and added of traditional Web display means. For features of streaming media on the campus, the FDSMP uses the theory and advantage of Struts and Hibernate on the system design and construction, and also discusses the ways to realize seamless connection between platforms and protocols and access control using the source software such as Helix and Proftpd, uses MySQL as the Web database and so on. Based on Struts, Hibernate, the FDSMP has the advantage of science and simple structure, compatibility strong, full of function and quick run, it is more suitable for the new network environment of large bandwidth and large volume of data. The system has a good reference for building Streaming Media Platform of the campus network. |
