Midecal simulation is an impotatnt computer application in medical fields,and it needs combination of multidisciplinary;furthermore craniofacial region is the most complicated both in the body and clinical surgery,So developing a surgical simulation platform that not only accords with software design standards but also conforms to clinical professional requirements is difficulty.Features of surgical simulation display:the model of patients that are used to simulate are frequent changes,but the number of organs and tissues are relative invariant; simulation functions are relative steady,but concrete simulation actions increase and extend continuously.In programming view,the relative invariability what embody among functions components and the relative polytropy what embody in component,are easy to achieve by COM technology.So we proposed designing and developing surgical simulation platform using COM(Component Object Model) component technology.Surgical simulation platform based on COM designed three core module:model management;surgical planning;surgical evaluating;implemented WRL model reading and storing,displaying and controlling,models separation and hierarchical correlative, model cutting and measuring;used teamwork pattern which cut down the period of developing platform;was language-independent;easy to upgrade;expansibility; encapsulation;and really achieved separation of data model and behavior simulation.Meanwhile further research relative algorithms of surgical simulation:cut bone, splicing bone,measuring bone,cut soft-tissue,occlusion,oral cavity repair,plastic of simulation algorithms.Then independently develop algorithms and compare to various algorithms.We summarize a fast and efficient method to develop platform in common environment,and successfully develop a integrated surgical simulation platform based on COM.Finally we verify generality and feasibility of the method through function of display.Owing to development of COM,the method will be more extensively used in medical simulation.At last,this thesis concluded the work of all the paper and pointed out the deficiencies and the development oriention.
