San Storage Devices, Hardware / Software Architecture Design And Realization

With the development of network, the digitized information has become more and more huge. And eventually, this trend leads to the storage model's revolution which transforms the server's center to data's center. SAN is the newest storage model.SAN is a inner network and separated with application network. And it manages the data.AS the SAN's functions that place the data in center location, the SAN's storage equipment should adopt a sound frame both in software and hardware. So, this thesis will give the following method to build the storage equipment:1. Install the Linux OS in the storage device to archieve the self-government function.2. Adopt the FC chunnel technology to communicate with the SAN.3. Stand by the SCSI protocol standardization.4. Use the RAID arithmetic that ensures the data's redundance.5. Design the CACHE module that provides the cache function.Furthermore, the hardware structure will adopt the modularization principle for plug and play.
