| Cleaner production is a new strategy for sustainable development. With the aid of specific theory and technology, it introduces the concept of prevention into the entire life cycle of products, and integrates production processes with concern of logistic management and energy use, to minimize impact on the environment, reduce consumption of energy and resources, and optimize management approaches and economic growth.At present, cleaner production has been applied widely in the tobacco industry, but how to monitor and assess the progress so as to meet the criterion of clean production is still a big challenge for the tobacco enterprises. This dissertation presents a cleaner production assessment system based on computer techniques. In an internet environment, the system collects annual reports submitted by tobacco enterprises, after calculating and statistical procedures, charts and tables are worked out showing general status of the whole industry as well as each individual enterprise, and assessments are given to the enterprises in accordance with the cleaner production criterion.J2EE and B/S techniques and SQL Server 2000 are employed allowing long distance data collecting and management, and it involves a series of sub-systems concerning data collecting, searching, statistical study , entitlement management, and log analysis, providing a platform for the tobacco industry to perform clean production assessment and management efficiently and easily. Starting from the background information about clean production assessment system, this paper discusses the assessment requirement of the tobacco industry, introduces function and framework designing, as well as complementation of the system, in addition, information versatility and diversified data storing techniques for cleaner production assessment system of tobacco enterprises are suggested for further study. |
