Design Research, University Teaching Assistant System Based On J2ee

With the hardware of the campus network continuing getting progress,some software applications have been established for the service of administration and entertainment in university.On the contrary,it is still in a low speed that the information construction of teaching what is fundamental to university develops. Even there is some information resources for teaching,they are scattered in most cases,what is against the management and resource storage of the university.This thesis introduces and designs a teaching-aided system with the campus network for universities.It can be used to share resources and communicate on like a platform,which can save the teaching resources and results for the university as well.This thesis analyses the requirement of aided teaching of universities,and then designs a layered frame of B/S architecture on base of MVC pattern with the analysis result.The core of VCAMPUS which is the actual project of the designed system in Fudan University is designed and implemented with J2EE,Struts and Hibernate,after that.The system is designed to support a virtual space and forum on network divided by courses as units,to continue teaching and learning after class.The system contains three parts,the user information,the individual basic functions and the net lesson module,which the net lesson is the key point.The roles are divided into teachers, students and administrators.The functions are divided into net lesson management, resource storage and communications etc.Various roles get controlled restrict by permission in every part.Especially,the thesis particularly studies how to join the system with other application systems,for example,the personnel management system,the student management system,the course selection system,etc,that to make full use of the relative data of them.Finally,the thesis analyses the advantages and disadvantages in the system design,and point out the direction to improve in future.
