With the unique advantages of wide coverage and a long time lasted, real-time, free from national boundaries to (water) restrictions, Satellite remote sensing widely used in resource development, environmental monitoring, disaster research, global change analysis in areas such as, by States attention.Satellite image's spatial resolution is a major indicator of the ability of satellite remote sensing, it's also an important symbol of a nation's Space Remote Sensing level. The pursuit of higher resolution has become various countries' satellite development goal. As one of improve satellite images'spatial resolution technology, super-resolution has become the forefront of satellite engineering and technology research.At the same time Super-resolution technology rapidly developing, the lack of a comprehensive, objective and uniform way of evaluate the effect of super-resolution technology quantitatively has become one of the obstacles of super-resolution technology research and engineering applications.This article established a scientific super-resolution objective evaluation index and method system from the research of key parameters of image changing after super-resolution, and provides an objective evaluation criterion to the subsequent super-resolution technology and engineering applications. Works were done as following:First, elaborated the elementary theory about super-resolution technology of the visible light image. Omni-directional interpretation of the development of super-resolution technology were introduced from three aspects: a single image super-resolution recovery,a number images super-resolution reconstruction and realization of super-resolution project combined with satellite to earth.Super-resolution technology evaluation belongs to the scope of image quality evaluation, studies on the concept and the affected factors of the image quality, and obtained subjective and objective method to evaluate image quality is another task of this article.Based on the studies of image quality evaluation, author make some quality indicators experiment on visible light image and establish super-resolution objective evaluation index system from two aspects which are image quality evaluation and image spatial resolution evaluation.This article also proposed an imaging link model of visible light images, in order to achieve the MTF simulation of visible light image. Using Wavelet-domain structure similarity detects changes of resolution as the objective assessment of spatial resolution; then establishes a scientific super-resolution evaluation system finally.Through the images experiment, the super-resolution objective evaluation index system has been tested and verified, and wavelet-domain structure similarity as objective evaluation method of spatial resolution was identified.
