Es8381-based Embedded Multimedia System Platform Design

The embedded multi media system based on the ES8381 processor is targeted on the market of multi media system, especially on the advertisement displayers. The ES8381 processor does more powerful in multimedia processing. And the price of the processor is much cheaper. It has very bright future in the commercial embedded system, and many engineers begin to design and implement software applications based on ES8381 processor in these years.Embedded system based on the processor is still in the initial stage. However it is designed for some special usages, developing boards and peripheral devices changed very often for different requirements. But the base system is almost the same, mainly including: the removement of the operation system, the interface of the video and audio, the external storage-CF card for multi media file, the storage device for the code and the remote and so on.First of all, the hardware is designed with studying the ES8381. At the same time, considering the demand of customers, the system is also designed which has many interfaces.Second, the software of the system includes two parts: one is the drivers of the external devices, and the other is the romovement of the nucleus plus operation system. At the end of the paper, the application of the system on the advertisement displayer is given.The implementation of this embedded system platform has more meaning with the application of developing on ES8381 processor.
