Short-term Forecasting Of Severe Weather Systems

The disastrous weather, especially the small-scale strong convection weather (rainstorm, hail, tornado, thunderstorm, gale and etc.), often leads to the flooded street, houses & trees collapsed, farmland submergence and so on, so causes enormous threat & damage to the industrial and agricultural production and people's life and property. Enhance the research of the disastrous weather forecast, reduce the influence to the national economy, increase the forecast accuracy of this kind of weather system, and though sending out the pre-forecast and warnings of the impact region, to minimize disaster losses.The present thesis is to the above question. Through the research of the Shanghai disastrous weather which occurs in recent years, we use the radar, automatic weather station and other types of detection data to monitor the real-time information. Setting the automatic warning critical value of some primary detection data to realize the function of sending out the alerts before the disastrous weather occurs. Base on the the integrated display platform of meteorological detection information, we develop the real-time information alerts and pre-warning function, provides automatic output forecast, in order to realize the pre-detection of severe convective weather and to avoid the omission of the disastrous weather. The main contents as follows:1. Set up multifunctional real-time weather Backgrounds collection module, to provide user the real-time disastrous weather information.2. Set up multifunctional real-time weather integrated display module, to provide user the real-time display of the disastrous weather information and warnings.3. Set up integrated weather information display module, combining with the monitoring & analysis of the detection data, to help forecaster to do the correct prediction.
