The report made on the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC),"We must keep to the orientation of advanced socialist culture, bring about a new upsurge in socialist cultural development, stimulate the cultural creativity of the whole nation, and enhance culture as part of the soft power of our country", promises the realization of cultural is just around the corner.After more than 20 year's development, the Press industry of China is entering a crucial stage of transformation. The emergence of new media such as internet media and WIFI media has shocked the traditional situation. As the spiritual homeland of the intellectuals, Guangming Daily meets the challenge positively and improves its quality. Being creative in cultural coverage and it strives for the goal of becoming the Diary of Culture and Academy in current China.The main body in this thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, it explored the reason why it changed the idea since 2005; in the second, it analyzes the most creative exclusives, columns and news coverage; and in the third, it summaries the experience of cultural coverage and offered some opinions and suggestions on its future development.
