From The 2008 "people's Daily Front-page News Photos Of The Event Of A Disaster In The Party Newspaper Publicity

The year of 2008 is a special one for China for that it encountered the main disasters including snow disaster at the beginning of 2008 and the 5.12 earthquake. Without photos relating with the riot, I'll study the photos of the two natural disasters in this paper.Former study on the propagandistic trategy mainly focuses on text. Few study is from the angle of visual communication. So this thesis is meaningful. Those photos selected are from the front page of People's Daily which is the mouthpiece of CCP .Through the study on the features of the propagandistic news photos about the disaster reporting, this thesis is to disclose the propagandistic strategy of part organ.This article could be devided into three main parts. The first part tells about what the news photos show : the theme of the photo and the people on the photo. The second part is to find the features of the propagandistic news photographs. The last part concludes the propagandistic strategy in four ways: positive propaganda, initiative propaganda, repeated and lasting prppaganda, propaganda on the basis of vivdness and truth.
