| Intelligent Transportation System (ITS for short) is the developmental direction of future traffic system. As an important part of ITS, research on Electronic Toll Collection (ETC for short) is a subject with great significance.Against the backdrop of ETC, the thesis analyzed the functional requirement of the lane controller, designed the general blueprint. The embedded Linux development platform was designed, under which the interface driver, the software functional module and its general structure was exploited.In respect of hardware in this system, ARM9 chip S3C2440A was selected to be the microprocessor, and the structure was consisted of core board and expanded board. The S3C2440A chip was utilized to be the center of the core board and corresponding SDRAM, NAND Flash, NOR Flash and Ethernet interface circuit was extended. The image acquisition circuit, in order to obtain vehicles' image, and Road Side Equipment (RSE for short), aiming to fulfill wireless data interaction with On Board Equipment (OBE for short), were designed specifically.For the software part of this system, the real time embedded Linux operating system was adopted, under which the image interface driver and I/O interface driver were programmed, and I~2C interface driver was transplanted. The application program of the lane controller was designed, in which license plate recognition and JPEG compression could be fulfilled.After the hardware and software of lane controller having been accomplished, tests on license plate recognition, JPEG compression and network transporting module were carried on under the embedded Linux platform. Results indicated that the designed lane controller could accomplish its proleptic functions and satisfy its performance requirements. |
