Based On The Dm642 Remote Video Collection And Transmission System Software Design

On the basis of the OTH observation system software design,remote video capture and transmission functions on the DSP together with video display,recording,loopback,snapshot functions on the PC were achieved in this article.First,the background and significance of the subject,which is called Remote Video Capture and Transmission System Based on the DM642 were briefly introduced.The remote video capture and transmission system is a video surveillance and storage device which includes video capture,video transmission,video recording,video loopback functions and can widely be used in the back-end transmission of the E-Eagle Eye system.Second,the unique advantages of utilizing internet for video transmission,as well as the necessary development environment of designing software and a variety of resources used for the design were introduced.In addition,the overall design process and framework for the structure and functions of the DSP software design were explained in detail.The design was divided into three blocks: the video capture block,the JPEG compression and decompression block and the network transmission block(send and receive blocks included).Then,how to use C#,which is one of the components of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 to achieve the whole features of software design was described.The whole features are as follows:Real-time video display on the client,Snapping the video at any time and Saving it as a jpeg image,Recording a certain number of frames of video in the local storage device by setting several parameters,Sending the stored video to the LCD for loopback.Finally,the software on both the DSP and client were tested respectively.Some improvements for the existing shortcomings were discussed.
