| This thesis describes the design and implementation of Sales Management system for Shanghai Airline. This system is a decision support system based on data mining technology.First, we made a brief introduction to the background and initiative for the research and project. From the information of explosive competition in the civil aviation industry we can see the importance of the information technology which can improve the competency and efficiency of sales and marketing process. Meanwhile, we list the achievement of information system established for Shanghai Airlines among the past ten years, which built a strong IT team as well as collecting enough IT experience and basic business data. The above mentioned advantage does a lot good to the project.Second, we describe in detail the background technology to build such a decision support system. The technology includes profit management concept in civil aviation sales strategy, concept of decision support system, preprocessing of data in data mining process, association analysis in data mining process and so forth. Those are theoretical basis for sales management system.Then, we analysis the software architecture, data collection and preprocessing methodology and how to mine the data by association analysis according to the blueprint of Binding subsystem of sales management , the data source we can use, and the organization structure and sub departments of Shanghai Airlines. In data processing, we use aggregation, sampling and discretization. In association analysis, we mainly use Apriori algorithm. According the two ways to mine the data, we can find the usefulness of the alert data to sales and marketing analysis (which is core data in the binding system). It is according those mining result, we help the colleagues in marketing department to find better ways to compete in the market.The last but not the least, we put the result of association analysis into our product system and add early watch alert to marketing monitoring. We found the help of the system in production environment by analysis percentage of occupied seat, revenue for each seat of our flights. What's more, we analysis the system benefits to our company as well as the usefulness of the conception to Chinese civil aviation industry.The innovation for this thesis is that we put sales and marketing data for competitors into our business intelligence analysis. The alert data for competitors also become important part for us to make decision. These information improved our capability in the sales event. Meantime, we put our mining result to the productive system which helps the user to make decision. Thus make the system a dynamic system. |
