Through using advanced technology, the Urban Intelligent Public Bus Operation Dispatch System (UIPBODS) can acquire the operating public bus information dynamically, and implements the real-time monitoring for the operating public bus, and makes the statistic automation and intelligence. It's the latest development patterns of UIPBODS, and an important sign of UIPBODS, and one of the core systems in Intelligent Transport System. Its aim is to build an intelligent public bus transportation information platform including dispatch management, communication and passenger information service.Based on the business requirement of one public bus transport company, according to object-oriented designing mind, this paper analyzes the dispatch business process in detail and designs the urban public bus operation dispatch system using. The main content areas as follows: (1) Studying the relative theories and technology that will be used in the dispatch system, and deciding the system scheme. (2) Deciding the system's functions and analyzing the business process by learning about the situation of public transport dispatching in domestic and abroad. (3) Abstracting the use case diagram from requirement analysis. (4) Designing the class diagram, the sequence diagram and the state-chart diagram after analyzing use case diagram. (5) Designing the system's database modeling and converting object model to relational model. (6) Designing the system's deployment diagram and describing the system's component chart and configuration chart. (7) Designing the communication protocol by analyzing the exchanging information in the dispatching system. (8) Designing and implementing the computer aided design software. (9) Implementing the system by using Visual c++ 6.0. The system has lot's of features such as openness, using and maintaining easily.
