Monitoring System, Based On The Wcf Distributed Street Lights

Civil lighting system is one of the important parts of city infrastructure. The level of the streetlight monitoring technology is a mirror of city's modernization level. After more than 20 years development, the streetlight monitoring system is becoming mature and perfect. The current system is usually used object-oriented or component oriented development mode, which has solved some problems before. But now, with the development of information technology, the existing systems can not meet the information management requirements.In this paper, using the Zhangjiagang streetlight monitoring system as the project background. By analyzing existing systems and information technology requirements, the system has been redesigned base on.NET Framework platform and WCF technology which is accord with SOA. The new system provides function of monitoring in the form of service interface. In the service center four main modules provide basic functions. Services which have good encapsulation were achieved by the combined use of these basic functions. In addition, WCF uses SOAP which is platform-independent to transmit messages and provides security support. Conclusively, the new system has better interoperability, reusability and scalability and can adapt to the change of business requirement, so it can completely meet the requirement of information management.This paper researches and introduces WCF's principle and its advantages. It focuses on the analysis and implementation of distributed concurrent systems'data communication and data synchronization problems. Besides, it also does some work on design and implementation of service interfaces.
