Enterprise resources planning (ERP) is a big hot spot in the current business world. Since ERP came to appear, ERP considerably attracted the people of enterprise and academic circles. With development of ERP, it has achieved great success in west countries but the result of its implementation in our country, especially in small medium-sized enterprises is far from satisfying. Dalian Lianmei CO., LTD (Lianmei for short) is a small medium-sized mechanical enterprise. Lianmei urgently need an integrated information systems such as ERP to accelerate self-innovation to improve the level of management and the enterprise competition ability. On the other hand, Lianmei looks blankly for facing all sorts of ERP software, and worried for many failure cases. Lianmei is facing a problem how to apply to ERP systems successfully. So it is very important to research about the application method and process on ERP Systems in Lianmei.Under such a background, the application of domestic and overseas ERP is studied in this paper firstly. Then the theory and method on how to implement Lianmei ERP system are deeply discussed. For the especial requirement of Lianmei, Lianmei ERP system acquisition, implementation method and process, BPR, knowledge transfer and so on are studied chiefly in the paper. At last, Lianmei ERP system application effect is evaluated in detail.After some crucial questions of Lianmei ERP system are studied, many actual questions in Lianmei's production can be resolved, and the management level of Lianmei is also be advanced. At the same time, it is useful and helpful for other domestic enterprises to apply ERP successfully, and it can impel the enterprises'healthy development, especially for small medium-sized mechanical enterprises.
