The application of programmable controller in CNC technology is a new subject in the field of automation and control in recent years, with the needs of industrial and technological developments, the traditional PLC is undergoing a qualitative change. There will be a trend that PLC and CNC would combined to the PAC (programmable automaton controllor). PLC being used in numerical control system industry has significant advantages such as program design clear,the hardware circuit simple and practical, high reliability, strong anti-interference ability, good performance price ratio and so on.This article used the CNC flexible production line of FALM body of car of a southern company for the object, introduced and designed a motion control system that can be used in metal-processing industry. consider the real situation and the technological requirements of production lines,the author built a entire movement control system control platform with the SIMATIC T-CPU as the control of the core and the interface module IM174 used in siemens PROFIBUS-DP bus and the A4 Series AC servo system of Panosonic Group's industrial sector. With the excellent motion control function of SIMATIC T-CPU to make the position control, achieved the motion of the multi-axis, high-speed position, three-dimensional machining and appled in the actual production line, realized the order action, and be put into operation.This paper did the following tasks:(1) Describes the main methodology of system design, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the various candidates for the program to finalize the "T-CPU + IM174 module + servo system" program design;(2) Designed the line connection of control system's hardware and the overall network of th entire hardware system, with the detailed diagrams and text, discussed the functions of system components and it's application in system, gives the detailed hardware connection diagram between T-CPU with the IM174 module, IM174 module and servo systems and servo drives and servo motor.(3) Designed the external control circuitry of the control system and the wiring of electrical control cabinet;(4) Introduced the T-CPU technological function and the detailed configuration of the technological object;(5) Designed the control processes of control system and write software program in the STEP7;(6) Designed and produced a man-machine conversation interface in WINCC7.0.
