University Digital Campus Unified Authentication Platform Design

Universities are paying more attention on construction of digital network now. Meantime, more and more application system are used in the network of universities. But construction of digital campus is a huge system engineering and it is not easy to establish excellent overall strategy in early stage of construction. So, it is necessary for universities to consider system integration and build a complete identification platform in the whole campus.We design and achieve a UAP served for digital campus of university in this article. This platform can provide a complete identification system for all application system in the campus. It also resolve current problems of digital campus network such as inconsistency of account number in each application system, complicated log-on process and poor management etc... It can be served as fundamental security platform of digital campus network. The following topics are discussed in this article. Analyze current network environment and status of application system in digital campus. Have feasibility study on construction of whole platform using current technology. And then design the whole system platform. The platform choose SSO as basic UAP technology and design identification data using LDAP directories service technology. Define the interface between platform and each application system. A sample interface is also designed of SSL VPN. The concrete thought and solution can be used in the construction of related digital campus network.It can integrate all application system in the campus after this UAP is used in digital campus network. It will standardize account number management of each system. Meanwhile, it can establish a complete identification platform for all users. User name and password will be not required any more after users are certified in the link interface of whole application system. The whole log-in process is simplified.
