Radar system simulation technology saves much money and time for the system's research, design and verification, and it also makes the radar system have good performance. Because the radar simulation technology has the characteristics of economy, flexibility, repeatability, portability and so on, it becomes a key technology in the research of the radar system and anti-electron jamming.The dissertation mainly discusses the airborne radar software simulation system whose detect target type is airplane. The research established a closed airborne radar software system which is composed by a radar echo generation model, a signal processing model and a performance evaluation model. It can realistically simulate the actual working process of airborne radar, and verify the work performance of the system. The main content and innovations in this dissertation can be summarized as follow:1 . The phased array antenna of airborne radar is investigated in detail. The mathematical models of the plane array antenna in rectangular and triangular are established respectively. Furthermore, the methods of Taylor synthesis and Bayliss synthesis are applied in the antenna model, which shows the sum and difference beam for phased array antenna when the side lobe voltage is given.2. An architecture of the echo generation system is given. In the echo simulation, a point target echo simulation based on kinematical and dynamical model of aircrafts is described, which considers the influences of the aircraft's attitude variation. Foil disturbance is added in the traditional chaff and noise environment, in order to improve the reliability, which is implemented by ZNML. The ground chaff simulation is studied and realized in the sum and difference channels. Finally, the total echo signal is described with the single frame Doppler plane data by the method of range element accumulation.3. The procedure of targets'information extraction from echo signal is given. The echo signal in strong chaff environment is processed by pulse compression, MTI and MTD, and the targets'signal is extracted utilizing the method of chaff suppression. Single pulse angle measurement is studied, and the influence of beam direction towards the angle measurement table is eliminated by sine coordination. At last, the angle measurement table based on airborne rectangular plane antenna is established.4. The results of airborne radar simulation are analyzed, and error analysis of distance measurement, velocity measurement, and angle measurement is studied.All the algorithms presented in this dissertation can be verified using Matlab, and then realized under VC 6.0.
