Plm Applications In Analog Ic Design Management

Today, Manufacturing Information Engineering (MIE) is becoming more and more important to modern manufacturing companies. It is vital for a company to select the suitable Production Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and suitable software modules from various PLM systems in the world.In this paper, the MIE predicament of a military electronic enterprise (institute) and its challenges faced in developing productions are carefully analyzed. Based on the business process, considering that there is an existing Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP) system, a solution using Production Lifecycle Management (PLM) software named Teamcenter (whose original is SIEMENS)is given. This solution includes: document management, product structure tree management, engineering change management, product configuration management, parts classification management, multi-format documents and online visualization endorsement, integration with the existing CAD/EDA and CAPP system, production planning and WIP plant condition monitoring and so on. By the implementation and several months online test, the solution is proved to be very effective.
