Periodic permanent magnetic field focusing has proved to be uesful method of focusing system in present-day microwave tube, and is one of the important compose of electron optics of the microwave tube. PPMs(periodic permanent magnetic focusing system) is the important component of the microwave electronic tube. It influences working frequency, power, efficiency, noise coefficient , stability, duration of the microwave electronics tube directly. So the magnet system CAD technology for Microwave tube has been an important tool in producing MWTs(Microwave tubes). The paper is beginning. the basic theory of PPMs(periodic permanent magnetic focusing system) was studied comprehensively and deeply, and an applicant software, simulating magnetic distribution, was designed and developed.The simulator is very important for design of PPM in Microwave tubes. Using computer simulation and CAD technique is a significant way to ameliorate and optimize design for advancing the quality of electron beam. However, the development of simulator is not easy. The manufacture of WMTs is quite complicated involved in many disciplines. So we must master the basic theory of PPM system.Firstly, this paper studied comprehensively and deeply the basic theory and the CAD technology for PPM system in Microwave tubes, including the kinds of PPM system, the structure of PPM, the material of PPM, and the design processes of PPM. Then, create physical model of software and design algorithm of software. Finally, based on the modern software engineering and OOD conception, focusing system simulator is developed. And the paper compares the focusing system simulator and Maxwell 3D and TWTCAD. After analyzing their computing results, the simulator is verified.
