Study On The Factors Affecting The Absorptive Capacity Of Yunnan Biopharmaceutical Industry Based On Open Innovation

Innovation is the driving force and source of an enterprise’s progress, which not only facilitates promotion and improvement of its core competitiveness, but also directly affects the sustainable development of national or local economy. Currently, rapid development of technology and high uncertainty of external environment greatly increase the risk of innovation. The model of closed innovation no longer meets the needs of development and innovation is facing a huge challenge.In the context of fierce global competition, a concept of open innovation is brought forth, providing a management model of technical innovation more adaptable to market demands and enabling organizations to break through the bottleneck in technical innovation. Open innovation not only points out a new direction for organizations to get out of the trouble in innovative, but also turns the original isolated, linear innovation process into an open, non-linear one. A successful open innovation depends largely on the absorption capacity of an organization to convert external innovation resources into its innovation advantages.With the bio-pharmaceutical industry, a strategic emerging industry and pillar industry of Yunnan Province and China where the capability of open innovation has a direct impact on the industrial leapfrog development and local core competitiveness, as the research object, this paper first makes a study on relevant theories of industrial technology innovation, open innovation and absorption capacity and an analysis of the developing status of the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Yunnan Province and the problems during open innovation, then further studies on key factors that influence the absorption capacity of the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Yunnan Province and verifies the relation between these factors and the absorption of the industry through quantitative analysis, and finally proposes based on research conclusions the strategies and measures to improve the absorption capacity of the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Yunnan Province and realize its sustainable development in the environment of open innovation.
