China's State-owned Commercial Bank Balance-sheet Business Studies

As a kind of business closely contenting and widely differing with traditional assets and liabilities business, Off-Balance Sheet Activities (OBSA) plays an more important and remarkable role in the business structure of modern commercial banking. The state-owned commercial banks hold the dominant status in the commercial banking in China, therefore, the study on the OBSA of the state-owned commercial banks in China has a close connection with the survival and development of the state-owned commercial banks, the whole banking and national economy.To the question on the developing of the OBSA in the state-owned commercial banks, the theory circle of our country has formed a large number of researches, based on the new research of economy and finance environment. But there are few researches based on economies of scope in the newspapers, periodicals and monograph. So, this paper does not speak of the developing of the OBSA in the state-owned commercial banks in general terms, but deeply researches the necessity and possibility with the economies of scope in banking as the breakthrough point and based on the theoretical analyses and empirical studies. Then, the paper proposes the countermeasures of the problem.This paper uses classical theories and methods of modern western economics and monetary finance. The normative theory analytic approach is a main analytical method of this text, it runs through this text all the time. While paying attention to the normative theoretical analyses, this text intends to combine normative researches and empirical analyses together, having strengthened the quantitative analysis while studying, namely processes a large amount of statistics or the relevant materials, and does empirical studies with the use of methods and models in econometrics, moreover, the paper adopts the data charts to do empirical description, in order to support the conclusion originating from theoretical analysis.Beside the introduction, concerning the background and meaning of selected title, several studying prerequisites and assumptions, the contents and structure, the train of thought and method, domestic and international research overview and document reviewing, etc. this text divides three chapters altogether, its main content is as follows: the economies of scope in economics, the economies of scope in banking, the theoretical and empirical studies of the economies of scope in the state-owned commercial banks in China, the current situation and countermeasures of the OBSA in the state-owned commercial banks, etc.
