Asset Securitization - The Natural Gas Industry Project Financing New Ways

Natural gas is a clean and efficient energy source and has been playing a significant role inthe global energy source structure. However natural gas industry in our country is far fromdeveloped compared to the world level. Considering its rapid growth, the natural gas enterprisesare in need of a large amount of funds from a new and cheaper channel of financing awfully.In this article, asset securitization is put forward as a feasible way of natural gas projectfinancing with regard to the features of natural gas financing and the benefits that the asset-backedsecuritization offers to the natural gas enterprises and the investors.On basis of this, an operational and effective model for asset securitization process in naturalgas project is designed and the pricing for the asset-backed securities is analyzed which is a veryimportant aspect for the success of the whole securitization process.Finally, in order to smooth away the adverse factors that hold back the development ofasset-backed securitization in our country, some suggestions regarding both policies and technicalaspects are proposed.
