Mead, International Economic And Trade Theory Research To Comment

This paper is part of the International Trade Theory Corpora Program, Volume Two: The Contemporary International Trade Theory. Firstly, this paper introduces Nobel Prize Winner, James Meade' s life experience and the Zeitgeist of his theory development. Based on these, analyses of his contributions and theories, including his assumptions settings, second-best theory, movements of factors of production theory, economic union theory, are presented. Then this paper summarizes other people' s further development of James Meade theories and their comments on Meade. Finally, Meade' s theories are put into context of China' s contemporary economic environment and Meade' s theories' referential influences are explored.
