China's Rural Financial Repression: Causes And Solutions

The reform and opening-up of 20 years of our country,while making economy grow at top speed,has made socio-economic development incongruous and not sustainable too,Among them,the incongruous development in urban and rural areas is serious especially,which has become the bottleneck for our country to build a well-off society in an all-round way. So we must establish the scientific concept of development,balance the development in urban and rural areas , change the dual socio-economic structure in urban and rural areas.Finance is the core of modern economy. Now China's rural financial system is not perfect, the rural financial market is not regulated and the rural finance reform is not complete, all these have resulted the rural financial repression. Financial repression blocks the development of the rural economy. But the growth of rural economy needs financial support. How to make finance play a chief role in the development of rural economy is an urgent problem that we must resolve.Based on the theory of financial repression and financial deepening, the paper has analyzed the actuality of financial repression in China, and put forward several important policy suggestions to economic and financial reforms in rural area.
