Much of studies about resistance have focused on the resistance mechanisms, there is little about the ecological significance on resistant strains. It is reported that many resistant strains have isolated from nature water,it is worthing to think about what kind of meaning on resistant strains. Now the atmospheric CO2 concentration increasing rapidly,it has significant impact on aquatic ecosystems, then there is little about how this effect resistant strains, weathere it can change the balance among bacteriophages, resistant strains and sestive strains. To study the impact of doubled CO2 concentration on resistant strains we choose resis-plectonema,cyanophage PP to study the growth curve, chlorophyll and adsorption rate and infection rate.We expect the balance in aquatic ecosystems at doubled atmospheric CO2 concentration through the experimental data. The results show that doubled CO2 concentration can improve the growth rate on resis-plectonema.The length and width of resis-plectonema cell increased 0.52μm and 0.80μm respectively. The increased cell sureace can adsorb more light for photosynthesis. In the resistance experiments, the results indicated that under doubled CO2 concentration both adsorption rate and infection rate improved, which imply the resistant ability decreased under doubled CO2 concentration. Therefore doubled CO2 concentration can promot the growth rate of resis-plectonemand and weaken the resistant ability. These results can provide some suggestion for the interaction between host and phage in future environmental.
