On the basis of testing coal pore distribution by using mercury porosimetry, to study the pore characteristics of Huainan coal field. This text based on the pore characteristics of coal in different depths, different structural characteristics and different coal lithotype, contrasting the pore characteristics of different Samples.Studying on the pore in different depths, while combinate with changes laws in porosity and density of coal. Found that:with the sampling depth increases, the rate of macroporous pore volume reduce; the rate of microporous pore volume increase. Microporous pore relatively. And the surface area must increases mean while. Surface area increases must affect the capacity of attaching gas, making it absorb more gases. As buried depth increase, the porosity of coal has signs of diminution; the density of coal increase, mean that as buried depth increase, the direction of Coal seams development dense.Pore characteristics of different structural characteristics shows that:pore changes of tectonic coal mainly found expression in macroporous pore and mesopore changes. Representing macroporous pore and mesopore increases, mesopore have sharp increases particularly. Microporous pore have no obvious changes. tectonic movement destroy endokinetic and exogenetic fracture of coal seam. Causing the connectedness of pore space getting worse. The perviousness of tectonic coal go down, in terms of this sense. tectonic coal tend to occur gas rush less than the perviousness increases more often than other reasons.Study on the vitrain,clarain and durain, analyzing the pore characteristics of different coal lithotype. results display:transitional span and microporous pore interior of vitrain and clarain growth relatively. Whereas gas adhere to microporous pore. So vitrain and clarain have more adsorption space. Durain have more macroporous pore, less microporous pore. internal surface area getiing less, to the disadvantage of adsorption. macroporous pore is the movement channels of gas. macroporous pore increase in favour of gas movement.
