BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+(BAM:Eu2+)has been regarded as the preferred blue-Emitting phophor for Hg-free lamp,fluorescent lamp and plasma display panel(PDP) application because of its high luminance efficiency and good color purity under vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) and ultraviolet (UV) excitation.At Present, the BAM have been mainly prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction methods,but it still remains two main problems on BAM that been prepared by solid-state reaction.One is the high temperature of its synthesis,high energy consumption and large particle size with hard agglomerate;The other is its degradation on luminance efficiency and color quality. Therefore,the development of new processes for preparing BAM has important significance,not only lowering production costs but also improving its luminous efficiency.On the basic of this problem,we improved processing parameter to increase the test performance of BAM.This article mainly studied the preparation technology of synthesizing BAM blue phosphor with high temperature solid-state reaction methods.In this process,the processing parameter of flux,baking technology in high temperature and reducing technology in high temperature were optimized.Phase structure,morphology and spectrum are characterized by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and fluorescence spectrometer.The experiments showed that,adding the content of 3.0% AIF3 flux can prompt the reaction,compared with other flux,the crystal of Products prepared by AIF3 will become better and purity is higher.Moreover, the mechanism of the formation of BAM had been analyzed.on this basis,we defined the heating curves of sintering,through the improvement of reducing furnace,the fluidization of powder in reducing atomsphere came ture.incresing the contact area of gas-solid reaction decresing the temperature of reaction.After analyzing the relation between the synthesizing temperature,comparative brightn essand granularity of BAM blue phosphor,the experiments results showed that the crystal will become better with synthesizing temperature increasing,it also can improve the comparative brightness,but the excess high temperature will rusult the bigger granularity.at last we eliminated that the appropriate synthesizing temperature is 1500℃.At the last, the phosphor that we had prepared has a better performance according to the best processing parameter,the luminescence performance of BAM blue phosphor prepared by this paper was measured.The results showed that the crystal will become better and the comparative brightness is lower than commodity phosphor,after treatment of heating,the brightness of commodity blue phosphor decresed 40%,but the brightness of experiment only decresed 20%.the granularity is 0.6um,which has a good decentralization. So it met the requirements of the blue phosphor used in piglnen.
