At present, the new electromagnetic metamatenal as a material design idea. Because of the unique electromagnetic properties in meta-materials, theory and experiment research of meta-materials is a very hot topic in physics and electromagnetic area.New electromagnetic metamaterial materials including photonic crystal, composite right/left transmission line, double negative material or says left-handed materials, and artificial magnetic conductor etc, and electrical, magnetic, optical properties, the original associated the new breakthrough for information provides a new opportunity. New electromagnetic metamaterials depend mainly on its design and preparation methods, this unit geometric structure for people to get the electromagnetic properties possessing somespecific "new media" provides a new design concept, for people to manipulate and control light and provides a new way to wave. In this paper, we first geometric parameters are systematically studied metal wants and continuous wire short compound cycle structure the influence of left hand band position; Secondly, put forward a new kind of electromagnetic metamaterials absorbing body structure, and the suction potter sex is studied. The main research results are as follows:In this thesis, firstly,We systematically study the transmission properties of metallic short-slab pair and continuous wires structure metamaterials and its dependence on the system's geometrical parameters in the infrared frequency regime, using the transfer-matrix method and the commercial code CST Microwave Studio. Secondly, we designed a new dual-band metamateria absorber. The electromagnetic properties for both structures are numerical investigated. The main results obtained are as follows:1. It was found that the passband are sensitive to the length and thickness of the continuous wires. As the length or thickness increases, the passband is slightly extended to a higher frequency. It was also found that the dependence of the passband on the material of dielectric layer.2. The electromagnetic properties of metamaterial absorber were measured using numerical simulation methed.The simulation results indicated that the transmission cofficients are nearly zero across the entire measurement frequency range,and the coefficients are 0.283å'Œ0.111 around 24.19 THz and 34.48 THz respectively.The results indicated that our designed structure have dual-band absorptivity strongly.
