Understanding the nature of prototype basin and restoring basin prototype is oneof the important foundations in oil and gas exploration, for the accurate understandingof the evolution of the basin, and the basins of oil and gas generation, migration, accumulation has showed important practical significance. In this paper, based onjoint application of seismic data interpretation and the drilling and logging data, compaction coefficient can be computed and denudation recovery can be restored bywave analysis, as the two key factors provide the basis for forecasting the targets ofexploration.First, 16 compaction coefficient equation of 4 depressions have been establishedthrough the compaction coefficient computation in Jiyang depression. During thisstudy, the deposition rate of Ek2 and Ek1 has been obtained and the deposition ratecharacteristics showed that the subsidence rate is fast at the depression center but slowat the edge.Prototype basin denudation after comprehensive analysis is recovered withrestriction of the wave equation. First, a wave equation should be established, whilethe distribution scale definition is accomplished, the denudation of every group can becomputed. The results show that most high denudation areas are concentrated at theedge of depression. Ek2 denudation area mainly distributes in Huimin depression andDongying depression, the highest denudation appears at the boundary of Huimindepression and Dongying depression. The denudation of Ek1 is similar to Ek2, whilethe highest denudation appears at east area of Huimin depression. The wave cycle analysis, based on wave equation method, showed that forKongdian prototype basin in the Jiyang depression, periodic wave G or N decides therelative deposition rate during different periods, periodic waves L reflects thedenudation at hiatus surface in different depressions, but the trend is similar. The contour map of Kongdian thickness of the prototype basin shows that: themaximum depth of Ek2 prototype basins in Jiyang depression locates in the Zizhen sag of Huimin Depression, up to 2800m or more, there are 3 major depressions. Thethickness of Dongying and Huimin depression is smaller than the thickness ofZhanhua depression. During Ek1 period, the maximum depth of prototype basinslocated in the southern region of Yangxin sag, up to 3800m or more. The morphologyof Dongying and Huimin depression develop from the whole Ek2 basin morphology.Zhanhua depression is also affected by tectonic movement. While Chezhen depressionshows"quiet"as Ek1 and Ek2 formation is hardly deposited here.
