XC Shaximiao formation gas field of the west Sichuan is typical of low permeability dense detrital gas reservoir rocks. Due to complicated geological conditions and strong heterogeneity, many logging response characteristics of Shaximiao formation are different from the normal natural gas reservoir's. So reservoir prediction has a high degree of difficulty.In connection with XC Shaximiao gas field's geological characteristics, this thesis, based on summarizing the data area's available information, mainly analyzes the gas reservoir's lithology and reservoir characteristics from the logging area. By collecting and analyzing the typical drilling core data and logging data, the thesis carried out researching on the logging reservoir parameters. By processing and analyzing the core data of physical properties (core homing), the thesis established the shale content, porosity, permeability and water saturation log interpretation models for the district. By standardizing the conventional logging data with the frequency histogram trend method, the thesis established a unified standard. On this basis, then, by identifying lithology with BP neural networks and fuzzy cluster analysis methods and combining with reservoir parameters, this thesis integrated to determine the lower limit of the effective thickness of the reservoir. And then to use resistivity porosity cross plotting and normal frequency distribution method to identify fluid. Finally, it determined the fluid property by analyzing comprehensively.This thesis summarized and formed methods and techniques of reservoir evaluation of Shaximiao formation by log welling in XC gas field, and provided the basis for exploring the natural gas reserves and improving gas recovery in the region. Meanwhile, it's a reference to similar gas reservoir to identify the gas horizon.
