Developed from the "bright point" to today, AVO technique is very significant for oil and gas exploration now. AVO forward modeling may help us choose the proper parameters to design a observation system which used for AVO research, analysis the AVO curve of target zone to predict lithology and forecast the reservoir hydrocarbon detection. AVO numerical simulation is extremely important to AVO technique.Traditional AVO technique is based on the single-phase isotropy medium theory, but both sandstone reservoir and carbonate reservoir are consist of rock matrix and pore fluid. As the existence of periodic thin interbed, pore and fracture, reservoir are all anisotropy, therefore, single-phase medium theory can't describe the effect of subterranean rocks on the propagating process of seismic waves detailedly, and appling the AVO technique in single-phase to predict the reservoir lithology and identify the pore fluid will be speculative and multiple.This paper in the context of learning the background, development history, present status and theoretical basis of AVO, conducted numerical simulation by two-phase media AVO equation, studied the effect of different pore fluid on AVO response and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of two-phase media theory and Gassmann theory. Deduceed the AVO formula equation and discussed the effect of Thomsen anisotropy parameter. Conducted numerical simulation by TI media AVO equation and discussed the effect of TI to gas sand and water sand AVO response. Conducted numerical simulation by TTI media AVO equation, analyzed the effect of anisotropy parameter and axis inclination on AVO response in TTI media. The research achievements of this paper provide the practical reference for improving the accuracy of AVO analysis.
