Passive Beidou position technology is a high-tech of using three Beidou satellites in the air to achieve positioning function. The Beidou receiver which based on this technology can provide customers of real-time location information service. Therefore, the research on Passive Beidou position technology is important, especially it can play a facilitating role for the development of our satellite navigation and positioning industry. This paper firstly describes the basic principles of passive Beidou position, and then introduces the overall design program of the Beidou receiver, including the processing of front-end RF signal module, the processing of baseband signal module and the solution algorithm of back-end navigation and positioning. In the processing of baseband signal, we firstly introduces several commonly used methods of the signal acquisition, and the acquisition method of parallel code phase searching is used for the Beidou receiver studied in this paper, then we analyze the module of signal tracking, including the carrier tracking loop and the PN tracking loop. The carrier tracking uses the Costas loop, and the PN tracking uses the Delay-locked loop. In the solution algorithm of back-end navigation and positioning, we firstly elaborate the concepts of pseudorange and carrier phase, and then give an important introduction for the pseudorange positioning algorithm which based on the least square method, finally we give a software programming process for this algorithm. After we introduces the internal systems of Beidou receiver, the paper demonstrates the Beidou receiver in Chapter 5, including the map of internal hardware circuit board diagram and the map of overall appearance, and then give the positioning test results of the Beidou receiver either at a fixed point or in the car running process, which proves the feasibility of the system.
