The Karakorum Mountains located between the northwest of Himalayan Mountains and the west of Kunlun Mountains, they are boundary mountains between China and Kashmir. The Karakorum Mountains of China include the south of mountains of four counties in Xinjiang, and also include the northwest of Ritu county. It's about 1100km long and 100-220km wide, the average altitude is about 5000m. In this paper, we systematically studied taxonomy of these plants, on its basis species diversity was analysed which including the trait of genera and species, flora constitution character and life form and so on. At the end the resource was apprasied and classfied. The research indicated that:About 22 families,75 genera,181 species,10 variaties of Archichlamydeae (except Cruciferae, Leguminosae) plant were recorded to occur in the Karakorum Mountains of China, repectively accounting for 20.75% of families,14.48% of genera and 5.24% of species in Qinghai-Tibeta. Among them, there are 2 new genera,24 new species,3 new varieties on the Karakorum Mountains of China, and 10 new species,2 new varieties in Xinjiang,1 new species,1 new varieties in Tibet. The middle genera family and little genera family occupy 85.33% of the total genera which are predominant on genera level. The middle species family occupy 80.11% on the species level in the composition of family. One species genera and little species genera occupy 92.00% of the total species which composed the main part of the genera on genera level. But the little species genera and more species genera occupy 76.80% of the total species which composed the main part of the genera on species level. The endemic phenomenon was not obvious, only 1 species is endemic to Karakorum Mountains of China, and this species account for 0.55%. In the plant life-form, the proportion of hemicryptophyte is as high as 66.30%.The composition of flora was very complex in the Karakorum Mountains of China, which belong to 7 areal-types and 10 subtypes. The temperate quality was obvious and the North temperate accounts for 55.38%. Meanwhile, most interflows between the flora in this area with that in the Mediterranean, Western Asian and Central Asian, and few ones with Eastern Asian flora have been found, but without tropic distribution and the Chinese unique distribution. Compared with the peripheral regions, the similarity coefficient of the Pamirs of China and the Karakorum mountain of China is the highest, respectively accounting for 77.78%,61.44% and 20.08% on the level of families, genera and species. Archichlamydeae (except Cruciferae, Leguminosae) plant resources were rich in the area, many species had important value in viewing, medicine, admiring feeding and olein and so on. The article provided basic science information for lucubrating how to protect biology diversity and utilize plant resource in the Karakorum Mountains of China.
