At present, the researching of the coherence properties of thermal radiation aroused people great interest, and the coherent thermal radiation based on the photonic crystal structure is studied widely. In the paper, we will improve coherence of thermal radiation by using the structure of gold film-one dimensional photonic crystal, since surface wave can be excited within the structure.Firstly, we simulate the optical properties of single gold film, and analyze the changes of its optical properties with incident angle, and discussed the trend of dielectric function curves of gold film. In order to study the coherent thermal radiation of the gold film-one dimensional photonic crystal structures, we analysis of thermal radiation properties of single gold film. In addition, we also simulate the reflection spectrum of one dimensional photonic crystal, so we can analyze band gap properties of one dimensional photonic crystal.Secondly, we deduce the reflection and transmission of the structure by using transfer matrix method and simulate the emission peak and spatial angular distribution of the structure, and we simulated the structure of the thermal radiation spectrum. Further analysis of why the gold film and the semi-infinite one dimensional photonic crystal structure can produce the coherent thermal radiation, we also study the distribution of field strength within the structure, in this way we can reveal the nature of coherent thermal radiation. We also analyze the changes of the thermal radiation characteristics with the structure parameters.Finally, we simulated the spectrum of reflection and transmission of the structure composed by gold film - positive and negative refractive index alternated photonic crystal, and according to Kirchhoff's law, we can get the properties of thermal radiation. In paper, we also analyze the negative refractive index material how to impact on the properties of thermal radiation, and then analysis of the differences between the two structures.
