| A modified theory has been proposed to describe the martensitic transformationrencently. It doesn't only consider about the free energy and the gradient energy,but also some kind of strain energy. The modified model describes the process ofmartensitic transformation better. The model is discreted by a stable method in thispaper,and the numerical simulation is done, including: In space, we use the integralinterpolation method and the discontinuous Galerkin method (DG method); In time,we use the second-order scheme to descrete the model. By studying the martensitictransformation numerically, we find some characteristics of the nucleation and thegrowth: thermoelastic and nonthermoelastic martensite formations, autocatalysis. Wecompare numerical results with experimental results,and understand the process ofmartensitic transformation. |
