Investigation of the properties of nonlinear systems, such as chaotic systems, neural networks, complex network systems, has been reported widely recently. The synchronization and control of nonlinear systems has attracted special at-tention because of its broad application prospects in many areas. Therefore, thestudy of such issues is of great theoretical and practical significance. In this thesis, the approximate synchronization problem of two nonidenticalnonlinear systems and the optimization problem of impulsive interval is investi-gated. This paper designs an effcient impulsive control method for two noniden-tical systems to achieve approximate synchronization. Through the analysis, asuffcient condition which makes the two systems achieve approximate synchro-nization is given and verified by a numerical example.Furthermore, an impulsive interval optimization model is established, then, the optimization problem about maximum impulsive interval is solved by a mixedalgorithm combining chaos optimization and linear matrix inequality (LMI) method. In the end, numerical examples are given to verify the conclusions obtained.
