As a pure Lagrange meshfree method, SPH can trace material boundary easily, it is also logically simple and capable of avoiding the annoying mesh tangling in FEM, so, it possess some major advantage in modeling muti-material, large strain, fracture and fragmentation problems. Though, it is computational consuming, which constrained its application. So, its parallelization research is necessary.At first, this paper gives brief introduction to the theory of SPH and introduces some basics of parallel programming. Then we present a straight forward and easy parallel SPH algorithm aims at reduce time in three dimensional SPH program. The basic idea, task partition, information storage, message passing and main stages of the parallel program are fully discussed. Then we code the parallel algorithm with Message Passing Interface and Fortran 90, run the program on the Yin He super computer. Two hypervelocity impacting examples are presented, which shows that our algorithm is very successful.We analyze the performances of the algorithm and find out that within 23 processors, with ten thousand to one million particles, the speedup our algorithm can achieve is between 8 and 11.Armed with the parallel program we wrote, we have modeled some impacting cases. The calculated results agreed well with experimental results, which implied that the program can be applied widely.
