City Names Address Coding Matching Study

DigitalCity is a new technology for giving service to the general public and the management of government departments,informatization construction.It is at work in servicing as a sharing-platform of geographical information and developing in custom function till spatial-data and nonspatial-data has been merged together.Place name and address play a important role in DigitalCity's construction, which is a bridge for joining nonspatial-data into patial-data.This paper summed up the rule for address classification, address combination, address arrangment which based on a place name and address's investigating project in AnNing, Yunnan provice.A new coding method for place name and address has been present that could make retrive and store more eseily in computer after practical issual had been analysed and the coding method which other people proposed had been analysed.This coding-method could match uniqueness for the address-coding requirement and have a subsection-form like address itself.In the actural utilization.the problem in original address and the reason which make these problem has been analysed deeply.And then, a way to deal with these problem has been submited in nichetargeting.An funtion for address matching and coding is developed using ArcEngine as module of custom development and Visual Studio.net2008 as a development platform in order to testing feasibility of the way which author submit.And then a matching experiment was carried out which 1033 address-point has been choosen from original dataset and matched,coded for these point by manual operation.The exprimental result show that the rate of matcing achieve 98.2% and the correctness,the unitarity of data which is dealed by the funtion for address matching is superior to the data's by manual operation.On the other hand,efficiency of function's operation overmatch the manual operation's too.
