Shallow water multi-beam bathymetric system is a kind of wide coverage, high precision and high resolution for surveying terrain of underwater. With the development of multi-beam bathymetric technology, multi-beam bathymetric system has become an important tool for detection of undersea terrain. To meet the changing needs of the domestic market, shallow multi-beam bathymetric system has become one of the important fields shallow water development direction.This paper reference of domestic and foreign similar products, design and implement the shallow water of multi-beam bathymetric system receive and process extension section. According to the characteristics of submarine echo signal, and the module of amplitude frequency-field sampling requirement, each receiving channel is designed with AGC automatic gain control modules, ensure channel output signal won't appear limiting phenomenon.Receive the extension section includes pre-amplification, band-pass filtering, automatic gain control (AGC) signal disposal module; the main function is to receive an extension for echo signal completed the amplification, filter and normalization. Process extension section includes analog to digital conversion and digital beam forming module. Which analog to digital conversion module uses CPLD device control multi-channel the ADS7864 collection, use CPLD tube feet heavy definition function, reduce the hardware circuit of scale. Digital beam forming module uses TMS320C6713 DSP chip in order to satisfy in data quantity larger cases, acquire high treatment efficiency and meet the design requirements of sounding process extension section.Through the system performance test and data acquisition experiment, the paper presents the design of shallow-water multi-beam bathymetric system receive and process extension section the basic meet design indexes, extension can achieve the desired goals.
